All of my clients know that newborn safety is a number on concern during our newborn session.
I wanted to write a blog to show you how important it is to hire a newborn photographer that is fully trained in newborn safety.
A few newborn poses require someones hands to be on the baby AT ALL TIMES, if the baby is not supported while these poses are being undertaken the baby could suffer an injury!
One such pose is the 'froggy' pose. Most parents and even some photographers do not realize that the 'froggy' pose is in fact a composite of two images. Either the head or the wrists of the baby are held by an assistant at all times during this pose. This is done in order to ensure your babys head is supported at all times so there is no injury to the neck. A trained newborn photographer also knows where to place the hands to prevent any airway obstruction.
Below are the images I used to product the image you see above.
